Parallel tracks, one named Peanut Butter, one named Jelly.... Racers will be paired up and race head to head. One run down each track and the best time wins.

Double elimination, so you get another shot even if you lose your first round.

Practice:
The track will be open for practice immediately following the completion of the Youth Enduro race, estimated around 12:00pm.

All racers must get at least 1 practice run down each track! We recommend several more than that though.

Qualifying: 2:00pm - 3:00pm
We will have timing set up near the end of practice, and will take your best time to use as your qualifying time.

Seeding (who you will race against first)  will take place based on qualifying time.

Racing: 3:00pm - whenever everyone but the winners have been eliminated

Further details available closer to the event.

What is an enduro race?

If you don’t follow the current trends in mountain bike racing, enduro racing might be a bit of a mystery to you.

It’s the latest highly popular racing trend in the MTB scene where the downhill sections of trail are timed, and the uphill sections are mandatory (ie: not on a chairlift or shuttle vehicle) but are not timed. The race will include 5 stages of timed downhill fun, fastest combined time wins.

Parents are welcome to ride with their young racers and can follow behind during the timed stages. For racers under 7 years old towwhee type devices are permitted.

Racer tech guide will be released closer to race time.

*All racers and riding parents must be Bike Cochrane members. Special discounted youth membership available.

Food:

Aid stations will be on course with some snacks and water refills to keep racers fuelled, but please remember to pack some of your own as well

Food trucks will be on site for post race re-fuelling. Neapolitan Express Pizza, Wanna Waffle and La Casita Coffee Truck

Refunds: Your race fee’s go towards the work that is put into preparing for this years race. In the event of extreme weather or acts of god and the race needs to be postponed, your fee will go towards the new date chosen. If we are able to rescheduled the race, and your schedule has a conflict, your race fee will go towards the 2026 Youth Enduro. If we are unable to reschedule the race, your race fees will go towards the 2026 Angry Hawk Youth Enduro. No refunds will be issued due to personal scheduling conflict for the 2025 race.
